From The Principal

The conclusion of this week means we are already half way through Term Two! The end of Week 5 also means Assessment time. Teachers and students will be engaged in mid-term assessment work over the next week or so.

Year’s 3, 5 and 7 students have been working very hard completing their NAPLAN tests this week. I am SO proud of the way in which the children are ‘really trying’ and ‘doing their best’. They are to be commended on their efforts.

By all accounts, our Mother’s Day event was an outstanding success. It was a great opportunity to thank our Mums for the many and varied contributions they make in the lives of our students.

We had an amazing attendance, delicious food and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Personally, I appreciated the opportunity to meet, and chat with, some of the Mums I’d not met before, it was lovely.

This event was the result of a LOT of ‘behind the scenes work’ and a special thank you must go to Miss Jakita, who also envisioned the event, and the office ladies, all of whom spent so much of their time with preparations.

I would also like to thank our beautiful students who were an absolute credit to themselves. Many happily assisted with setting up and tidying up. Thank you everyone.

May I please remind all parents and carers to update contact details. In case of an emergency it is vital we are able to inform you of what has happened. Thank you. In closing, I wish you all a safe and blessed week.

Thanking you,
Mrs Irena Morgan.
