Anzac Day – Saturday 25th April

April 25, 1916 marked the first Anzac Day, which has become a national day of remembrance. The streets were lined with more than 50,000 people as returned service men and women paraded before the city in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

While the Shrine of Remembrance in Brisbane won’t be filled with crowds this year, there are still ways to remember the sacrifices of Queenslanders this Anzac Day online, students can learn more about Queensland’s war participation and ways to commemorate as a community.
